The program teaches candidates to apply clinical counselor reasoning across NCMHCE-style case studies: intake and assessment, diagnosis and differential reasoning, crisis and level-of-care decisions, treatment planning, evidence-informed interventions, multicultural and contextual practice, and California legal and ethical judgment when several answers appear plausible.
